Session expire time

  • Session ends (times out) after 30 minutes of user inactivity
  • There is no limit to how long a session can last. If the user is still active then the session will extend timeout time

Engaged session

  • Has 2+ page_view event
  • OR has 1+ conversion event
  • OR lasted longer than 10 seconds

bounce rate

The percentage of sessions that were not engaged sessions

  • Weren’t longer than 10 seconds
  • And Didn’t have a conversion event
  • And didn’t have at least 2 pageviews or screenviews.

User engagement

  • app screen was in the foreground
  • web page was in focus
